This is my own original music in the style of traditional Hindustani Classical (North Indian) music. I play Alap on the bansuri flute without tabla, then I bring in the tabla with an original tihai. I composed a sequence of three tihais that are based on phrases of 7 that i include through the course of the piece.
The main notes I emphasize in this raga are Shuddh Ga and Shuddh Dha. The relationship between Dha and Re ascending and Dha and Ga descending give the raga its distinction.
